After my pitch to my peers about my music promo idea they gave me feedback and questions to help me further my research and planning.
- A continuous video may be hard to film
My peers bought up some issues that I may have trying to film in one shot; things may go wrong meaning I may have to retry. They suggested to me to film smaller parts but still follow the road, this way it can still look like a continuous shot video but will be far easier to film.
- The final product may look staggered
After discussing filming a continuous shot video, we came across another problem, the video may look staggered if the location jumps forward within each shot. To stop this I will need to plan out my different shots so that where one stops the next will start in the same place. This way to video should look seamless and not staggered.
- The actor cannot lip sync for the entire time of filming
In response to this I have decided to only have my actor sing certain lines of the song, this brings emphasis to specific lyrics. It also allows me to use a wider range of shots when filming as the camera does not need to facing the actor.
- How to create star image
The actor will be the main focus of the music promo throughout the video, for example using shots such as close ups.
